Real progress, real connection, and real change—for individuals, families, and organizations.

Every person, family, and team we support comes to us with a different story. Some need clarity. Some need stability. Some need skills, a plan, or a fresh way of looking at a problem. Our work is practical, human-centered, and grounded in the environments people actually live and work in.

Below are examples of progress we’ve helped people make—while honoring dignity, autonomy, and identity every step of the way.

Case snapshots

These brief examples show how we approach real challenges with practical, respectful support.

Community Engagement

The challenge

A young adult who enjoyed being out in the community struggled to stay engaged, was easily overwhelmed, and often refused to participate.

What we did

  • Planned a small, consistent 1:3 group with predictable routines
  • Used communication supports, visual options, and choice-making
  • Practiced emotional regulation strategies in real settings
  • Chose community locations aligned with the person’s interests

The result

The person now participates reliably in weekly outings, initiates social interactions, and reports feeling “less stressed and more confident” being out in the community.

Therapeutic Consultation – Behavior

The challenge

A family was experiencing escalating behaviors during transitions at home, leading to stress, safety concerns, and burnout.

What we did

  • PBSF + BCBA collaboration to understand the nervous-system cues behind the behavior
  • Redesigned routines and environmental supports
  • Created a concrete set of strategies the whole team could use
  • Modeled and coached implementation directly in the home

The result

Transitions became calmer and more predictable, and the family regained a sense of stability. The person now initiates transitions with support and fewer escalations.

Work Incentive Specialist Advocacy (WISA)

The challenge

A DARS client wanted to pursue competitive employment but feared losing SSI and health coverage.

What we did

  • Conducted a benefits analysis
  • Prepared a plain-language report with clear scenarios
  • Provided a virtual session to walk through the report
  • Ensured both the client and counselor understood next steps

The result

The client accepted a job offer and began working with confidence, knowing how earnings would impact benefits and what to do if circumstances changed.

Training & Certification Programs

The challenge

A human service organization wanted supervisors to provide more consistent feedback, improve documentation practices, and reduce staff turnover.

What we did

  • Delivered the Human Services Supervisor Certification (HSSC)
  • Provided tools for setting expectations, monitoring performance, and coaching
  • Worked with leadership on follow-through and culture

The result

Supervisors report being “more confident and prepared,” documentation improved, and the organization saw an increase in retention and team satisfaction.

How we think about outcomes

We don’t measure success by checkboxes alone. We look at what’s changing in real life:

  • Increased confidence and self-trust
  • Clearer, more effective communication
  • More meaningful participation in community life
  • Calmer, more predictable home and program environments
  • People gaining skills and independence at their own pace
  • Teams feeling supported, equipped, and less burned out
  • Programs becoming more stable and sustainable

Outcomes look different for each person—and they should. The heart of our work is creating conditions for people and systems to grow.
